Hoya de Huesca/Plana de Uesca〔(Official name as appears in the establishing law of the comarca (BOA 27/2002 26th november) )〕 is a comarca (county) in the province of Huesca (Spain). * Capital city: Huesca, also the biggest of the 40 municipalities of the comarca. * Surface: 2,525.60 km². * Population: 60,525 (2002). It occupies the central area of Somontano, between rivers Sotón and Alcanadre and Gratal and Guara mountains. Rivers Isuela, Flumen and Guatizalema also flow across its territory. Its borderline comarcas are: * North - Jacetania and Alto Gállego * South - Zaragoza and Monegros * East - Somontano de Barbastro * West - Cinco Villas The economy is based on agriculture and cattle raising. The industry is mainly metallurgic.
